SSC in November, HSC in December: Minister of Education

The SSC examinations in the three group-based elective subjects are planned to be held in the second week of November this year and the HSC in the first week of December. Education Minister Dipu Moni said this at a virtual press conference at 11 am on Thursday.

Education Minister Dipu Moni said that if the situation is favorable, a limited range of hygiene rules will be followed on the basis of examinations in three subjects, while the remaining required subjects will be assessed through mapping of SSC and JSC examination subjects. And if it is not possible to take the test, then the assessment will be done through the assignment and subject mapping. Or the assessment can be done just by mapping the subject. That will be informed later.

The education minister said, “We want to give results to the students through evaluation this time.” If the corona situation improves, the test will be conducted in a very short time. For this, a new short syllabus will be prepared.

Dipu Moni said SSC candidates have to do 24 assignments in 12 weeks. And HSC candidates have to do 30 assignments in 15 weeks. Students are required to do two assignments per week.

Deputy Minister of Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury was present at the Nawfel Virtual Press Conference. The Secretary of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education was present at the time. Mahbub Hossain, Technical, and Madrasa Secretary Aminul Islam Khan were also present.
