Hungary will provide 130 scholarships to Bangladeshi students every year
We have signed a memorandum of understanding on education between Bangladesh and Hungary. As a result, 130 students a year from Bangladesh will study at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. levels in Hungary with full scholarships.
The Bangladesh Embassy in Austria said in a statement on Thursday that the MoU was signed.
I said in the notification, the students of Bangladesh will get this scholarship for the next three years.
The Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade hosted the signing ceremony in Budapest.
Ambassador of Bangladesh to Hungary, Austria, Slovenia, and Slovakia Muhammad Abdul Muhith signed the MoU on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh.
On behalf of Hungary, Orsolya Pachsay-Tomasic, Secretary of State for Diplomatic Academy and Stipendium Hungarycom of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade signed.
Rahat bin Zaman, Minister and Deputy Chief of Mission of the Bangladesh Embassy in Vienna and Honorary Consul of Bangladesh in Budapest. Greg Pataki was present.
I held a meeting between the representatives of the two countries before the signing of the MoU. The meeting discussed the future roadmap of the growing bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Hungary.
In the Memorandum of Understanding, 30 scholarships have been newly added for Bangladeshi students and professionals to study nuclear energy.
According to the MoU signed in 2016, the Hungarian government has been providing 100 scholarships annually for Bangladeshi students for three years. According to the new MoU, Hungary will provide 130 scholarships to Bangladeshi students annually for the next three years.
